Not only but also...

Hi all,

I'm totally confused...Can anyone please tell me how to finish the following sentence?

"Not only has the scholarly appropriateness of XY's theories been called into question, but also..."(the great importance XY attributed to language acquisition has been criticised). Does it go like this: "...but also has the great importance XY attributed to language acquisition been criticised" ? Any suggestions?

Thank you so much!
