Hi teachers.
Today I came across 'not only A but also' structure, in which 'but' is ommitted like the below. What I wonder is if it is possible to omit 'but' since I have never see this before.
"Rhe goal is nor only to prevent collusion by hostile witnesses, it is also to prevent witness from influencing each other"
Many thanks in advance.
The omission of "but" is not only possible; it is commonplace, and best done with a semicolon.
