Not having/Having no?

Hi,

which one is correct?

Not having a senior colleague to assist me, I had difficulties in finding solutions to the fix the problems.

or

Having no senior colleague to assist me, I had difficulties in finding solutions to the fix the problems.

Hi bamz The two sentences mean the same. (just one thing - take out the first 'the' in each of the main clauses - I suspect they're just typos) BillJ

(just one thing - take out the first 'the' in each of the main clauses - I suspect they're just typos)
