Not having heard vs. Having not heard

Hi

Are these the same? I mean, not having& having not...?

Are these sentences fully natural?

Not having met Tina before, it was impossible for him to recognise her.

Having not met Tina before, it was impossible for him to recognise her.

Thanks,

Tom

No, you should say, "Not having met Tina..."

Thanks, Englishmaven.

-- but I am sure I have seen sentences starting with "having not...". Is it common in any way? Something like:

Having not heard his mother, he couldn't respond to her calls.
