Teacher : I'll draw a turtle on the board for you. But I'm not good at drawing so please understand me.

Can I say like that or'please don't give me cold shoulders?'

'Please understand me' is not at all idiomatic. You could say 'Please forgive me', although that is rather formal.

More natural is eg Sorry, I'm not good
