Not everyone did particularly well on this quiz

"Not everyone did particularly well on this quiz." The implication here is that the majority of the class did not do particularly well. But the statement entails only that at least one person did not do particularly well on the quiz. So if only you did poorly on the quiz and everyone else got an A, the state is still true.

Q) I thought the implication there is that majority of the class did particularly well, and not vice versa(that means there would be more students who did well (than those who not), but there are still some students who did not do well.
