Not credible

Which are correct:

1) His strange behavior and his previous lies made his account of the event not credible.
2) His strange behavior and his previous lies made his account of the event not be credible.
3) His strange behavior and his previous lies made his account of the event be not credible.

navitasan Not credible I know you're playing with a particular set of grammatical possibilities, but this doesn't work. None of the three sentences seems correct because of the negation. Without the negation you can do the first ( made it credible ), but not the others with 'be' ( made it be credible ), but for the meaning you'll have to select an adjective of opposite polarity.

I would accept (1). The other two seem awkward at best.
