Not at all

Hi teachers,

I find this sentence:

A: I'm sorry I'm late.
B: Not at all. Do come in.

Is the "not at all" a correct usage here?

Thanks

No. A better reply by B would have been "Don't mention it. " C: I really appreciate your being able to see me at such short notice.

Hi Terryxpress,

Do you mean don't use "not at all" in reply to "I'm sorry"? I remember my teacher once told me not to use that, that mean you don't feel sorry at all. However I saw this this instructional video saying:

Sarah: I'm sorry about my brother.

Ann: Not at all. You have a lovely family.

Does it make sense to you?

Thanks
