Hi, there. I'm an EFL teacher in Taiwan. I got this from a reading comprehension test based on a BBC news article that we made for our students.
Text:
The Firhall community on the outskirts of Nairn in the Highlands is actually unique in the UK.....In fact, residents of Firhall must follow certain rules. To own a house in Firhall, you must be over 45 years old. The deeds for the properties prohibit the keeping of ducks, rabbits, pigeons and bees. Households are allowed to have one dog--but controversially no resident children.
Question:
Based on the above passage, can we say that residences in the community cannot keep any animals but dog?
I know this is more a question on logics than on word meaning. But I still hope to get some opinions. Big thanks.
