Being filled with nostalgia can have various effects. It's the effect that seems to be called for in the word 'by'.

What kind of effect (caused by nostalgia) do you want?

hi,

thanks for your help, I think "I'm consumed by nostalgia" is ok.

I wanted to say, that I felt nostaligic when I was thinking or talking about (ex.) last holidays or things that passed and will never return - feeling of happiness , pleasure and sadness at the same time.

thanks
