Nordic or Northern?

When I want to describe/tell someone like the Nordic countries/Scandinavia. Should I say they're Nordic or Northern soul?

Thank you

"Nordic" specifically means Scandinavian, whereas "Northern" could refer to anywhere that is relatively to the north. If you mean "soul" to refer to a person, then this is poetic and may or may not be appropriate. I would need to see the full context.

  • In England, "Northern Soul" is a genre of music, and referring to a person as a "Northern soul" could be confusing for that reason.
