Nor versus Or
hi,
I'm confused with the usage of nor/or. Can someone explain when to use them?
ex)
It was not my fault, nor his.
I don't like math or physics
I think these sentences are both correct and either cannot be interchangeable with the other (or his/ nor physics), but I can't understand why the second example is Ok. Nor seems more suitable to me.

The simple answer is, in American English, the word nor is almost never used. It is out of date. Sometimes you see it written, but is rarely ever used when speaking. Sorry if that's not the answer you wanted, but it is the truth!
