Nor that?

"I can't stand that my emotions are always trampled on and treated as a symptom of my mental illness, nor that my parents have to go through such a misery because of me."

"I do not believe that individual freedom is the most important right, nor that the free market cures all social ills."

Hello.

I want to know if my usage of "nor that" in the first sentence is acceptable. I precisely decided to use "nor that" in writing the sentence after finding the second sentence from the web which I believe has a similar structure to my sentence.

I know that simple "and that" would suffice but I want to know if "nor that" is another possible option.

If not, would you care to explain to me why?

THANKS !!!
