'nor' problem

Hello,

I have following problem: why the sentence

'There is no possibility to create X nor Y' is wrong

while the sentence

'There is no option to do X nor to do Y' is correct?

The problem is that I cannot see any difference between the two sentences (besides using different words: possibility-option and verbs to create-to do).

Thank you for helping me.

The problem is that your 2nd sentence is wrong. They should read: There is no possibility to create X or Y'. 'There is no option to do X or to do Y'.

Erm... The English teachers say the second is right...

I thought it should be 'no possibility of creating'.

Thanks CJ for your post. I've been a bit confused with the MM's reply. Indeed, the noun 'possibility' collocates with the preposition 'of' ('possibility of') or with the 'that-clause' (A slim possibility that he will write the report on time) but not with the infinitive.

Sorry, folks — the question was about 'nor'. I am under no compunction to fix everyone's ancillary mistakes.
