This is an excerpt from one of my books.

"An analysis covering fifty years of the Novels in chemistry and physics found that the winner lived longer than those who were merely nominated.(So much for the Hollywood wisdom of 'It's an honor just to be nominated.') Nor was the winner's longevity a function of the Novel Prize money.''

Does above mean''A function of Novel Prize money lasts longer than the winner's longevity?''
