Noodles...IT

There are noodles boiling on a stove.
A: I want noodles.
B: I know. I am cooking them.
Noodles boil more.
A: noodles!
B: I am watching IT.

I am wondering if at some point in coversation, refering noodles with IT is natural and could be mixed up often as we further exchange the info about the noodles?

Thank you.

So I should stick with "them" all the time, is that what you mean?

I meant "I'm watching it" is not natural.

You can just say: "Please be patient!"
or more casually:
"They'll be ready in a minute!"

Thank you, teechr. But here my question is about if I can interchange pronouns of singular and plural for noodles or for that matter any plural nouns.

That may lead to confusion!
Noodles is plural, so stick with "they" or "them."

ok, I didn't explain it well.
When A said " noodles!" He meant "the water in the pot is boiling and noodles might over flow"
And B responded by using "it" to mean that I am watching the noodles, pot and the stove fire and even the whole situation.

Do you think, even in this situation, "them" is the way to go?

"I'm watching it" still doesn't work for me!
You can say: "It's under control!" or simply "It's OK."

Thank you. then, why "I am watching it" is so out of blue? You say "watch something" to orinentate or keep their eye on somthing to be cautious.

If you have been talking about noodles, you are talking about something we consider 'they/them' If you switch to a singular word, as in "How's the dinner coming on" then you can be watching it. You can't switch number without switching reference.
