Non-quitting moments

Hi

Paula Radcliffe would quit the marathon and the 10 000 metres in the middle of each race at the 2004 Olympics in Athens because she was struggling. ... She battled hard to come back a few months later and win the New York Marathon, but it will take a few more non-quiting moments like that before she and other people forget.

--- I take it to mean she will have to show her determination a few more times before she and other people forget (about what happened in Athens, I guess)? What do you think?

Good interpretation!

Note that while quit is spelled with one t, quitting should have two.
