Non progressive verbs

Hi!What is the name given to verbs like 'permit and allow' that progressive form is not usually used with them?

I agree with the Veteran Member: "allow" and "permit"

can be used with the progressive:

They are allowing/permitting only five people at a time to enter

the building.

this rule. For example, some native speakers have no problem
