Nominative sentences and thier constrution

I am trying to help my son with his english regarding nominative sentences and breaking htem down:

His paper says: there are three cases:the nominatve, possessive, and objective. (this is not hte problem we understand that)

Then is states the nominative case has the following constructions (use or syntax) We have absolutely no clue, we are desperate need for answers ASAP! Please if this makes sense to you please help!
