Nominate anonymously

if someone is said to be "nominated anonymously", what does this mean in fact ?

as I understand the question it means that someone is selected by somebody with unkown identity if you are still confused you can find in the dictionary anonymous, anonymously is the adverb.

if you are still confused you can find in the dictionary anonymous, anonymously is the adverb.

i don;t think Michael is correct. Mapping word to word in dictionary doesn't always convey real meaning. If you interpret such breakdown , then "get lost" will have meaning something like go and get something called lost...
