Nominalisation

Is this nominalisation?
"The use of this technology" because it replaces, "using this technology"

In the second sentence, "using" might be a noun, but it could also be a verb or noun modifier. It depends on the rest of the sentence.

I can't imagine what definition of 'nominalisation' you're using.

the use of this technology would not be a nominalisation to me, because by my definition, it's got nothing to do with multiple words.

It's just that "use" as a noun is a nominalisation of "use" as a verb. One word is the nominalisation of one
