nodding and shaking the head are reversed/contrary/opposite//the other way around

Yet in Bulgaria, nodding and shaking the head are reversed: up and down means no, and side to side means yes.

Is it correct to replace "reversed" in the above with "contrary/opposite//the other way around?" Thanks.
