In retrospect, I hated teachers who ask "Do you have any question?" at the end of the class. Sometimes, the statement was asked even the class was finished. Without a doubt, no one asked a question because we were well aware of that asking questions shortens our break time. Whenever this thing happens, I blamed the teacher's incompetent who couldn't complete her class on time. But the time has come to plan my own, imaginary classes, I realized how difficult planning classes is in terms of time. First of all, I cannot expect how much time will be needed for students to do some exercises. On the one hand, some students might need only 5 minutes to fill in blanks but on the other hand, others might need more time. One of my classmates was a hard working student who had a poor understanding. When almost all the students finished answering to questions, she was managed to answer half of them. The teacher never waited her to finish answering. As I sat right behind her, I used to show my answers and she almost got the right ones. I understand that teacher cannot waste time for only one student because she planned the class in advance. Though the teacher couldn't give the student enough time, she could have come to the student after class and checked what she had got as answers. In the class where individual difference exists, teachers should keep their eyes more on below average students.
