nobody

A. Nobody's betraying me would surprise me.
B. There is nobody whose betraying me will surprise me.
C. Being betrayed by nobody would surprise me.

1. I wouldn't be surprised to be betrayed by anyone.
2. Not being betrayed by anyone would surprise me.

Which of the three first sentences have the same meaning as 1, and which have the same meaning as 2?

Are you sure that a can't mean both 1 and 2?
It is like:

Nobody's car is better than mine.
Nobody's car would go faster than mine.
Isn't it?

I am not entirely sure the third one cannot have both meanings either.

2 = If nobody betrayed me, I would be surprised.

1 = I would not be surprised, whoever betrayed me.

A. Nobody's betraying me would surprise me. = 2

A means, If nobody betrayed you, you would be surprised. Which means, you would not be surprised if at lea
