No thanks

If my friend invites me to go out for the night and have fun, and I, having homework/having books to read (for pleasure reading) etc, want to refuse, what should I say in natural English apart from no thanks?

Sorry, I'm not going to be able to make it. I have too much homework to do. I'd love to come but I've got loads of homework and need to stay in tonight and get it done.
