What English word can have 4 of its 5 letters removed and still retain it's original pronunciation?

Would that word be... QUEUE? (that was a great one Zickle) Clue: if there was only letter remaining, that letter had to have the same sound as the word so I went through the alphabet to see which letters were like words (like I=EYE) with 5 letters.
