No plans for /of

Hi,

Which one of the following sentences is more appropriate? Also, how do native speakers make a choice in such a situation where either options look almost the same?

1. They have no plans of more children ( don't want to bear any more children).

2. They have no plans for more children.

Thanks,

MG.

Musicgoldhow do native speakers make a choice in such a situation where either options look almost the same?
1. The options don't look the same for native speakers.
2. They don't actually make a choice; they repeat the same word grouping that they have already heard others use at least a million times, so it's the only combination that sounds right!
