No Page Numbers On Scripts

I just finished reading the script to Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I have not seen the film yet but I thought the script was interesting. The script I found on the net had page numbers, so the script I read had 121 pages.

But, I was looking at the first draft to Aliens and can only find that script in text format with no page numbers. I browsed some other scripts and have noticed some of them are in text format and do not have page numbers.
Is there a certain trick to figuring out how many pages are actually in the scripts in text formats that lack page numbers like the ones I'm finding?
Thanks!

Which will give you 2 different page counts by the way. Don't worry about this.

Just don't worry, write a great script, print it out. If it's longer than the CCAS (current commonly accepted standards) use that as impetus for more editing.
Do read up about the differences between spec scripts and shooting scripts. A production person adds the line numbers using very technical constraints.
CCAS is my silly acronym of the moment (MSAM) but it could very well change betwe

Count the number of lines (not by hand if you're smart) and divide by a number between 50 and 55, which seems to be the average number of lines on Letter-size paper in Courier 12.
