(1) Scientist as he is, he is deeply interested in literature.

(2) No matter whereever I go, I won't forget that I'm Taiwanese.

(3) Whether they come from Europe or Asia, they brought their own culture and customs with them.

(1) Scientist as he is, he is deeply interested in literature. Although he is a scientist, he is deeply interested in literature.

"Scientist as he is, he is X" would be used to introduce an expected consequence, not an unexpected circumstance.

(2) No matter whereever I go, I won't forget that I'm Taiwanese. No matter where I go, etc. Wherever I go, etc.

(3) Whether they come from Europe or Asia, they brought their own culture and customs with them. Use "came" and "brought" OR "come" and "bring."

A second opinion would be appreciated on (1).

Perhaps I'm thinking more of "scientist that he is."

I'm sure that "Scientist though he is" would convey the intended meaning, Also, "though he may be."

but I'm not sure about "Scientist as he is."

And I'm quite confident that "Scientist that he is" would convey the opposite meaning.
