no matter how?

Could you tell me which part of this sentence is wrong?
"Some skeptics have pointed out that no matter how vigilant ethics guidelines are enforced, ~ "

Hi It's not, of course, a complete sentence. Personally, in the UK, I think of 'skeptic' (with a 'k') as unusual. It's not wrong - and perhaps used more in the US - but it usually has a 'c'.
