Other teachers can give more details but, just to deal with Hoangnam's point..

In the basic usage, the structure would be different..

- I no longer go to school

- I do not go to school anymore

Both are correct and mean the same thing: I used to go to school but now I do not

I think you are quite right about that. If a person is angry or giving an order then the words you gave cannot easily be interchanged

I think that is because, in modern speech, in this type of sentence, the stress is at the end. I can imagine an old-fashioned sentence..

- You will no longer play football!

This is correct but doesn't sound right anymore
