"But that does not explain my confidence about why skeletal remains from the past - and the remains of fish, no less, offer clues about the fundamental structure of our bodies. (from Your Inner Fish, written by Neil Shubin, pp.3)"

Could you tell me the meaning of the no less in that sentence? Thanks in advance.
