No Idioms?

Hi,
Do native speakers find it awkward for a non-native speaker of English not to use any idioms? I guess it would be really impressive to hear a non-native who has full command of idioms, especially of the less common ones, but does it really matter to use them frequently? I don't know why, but I use them rarely, even in my native language, and I don't even know why that is either...
Thank you.

  • Idioms, beyond the several very common, daily ones, should be among the last items to acquire in the process of gaining fluency.

Here is a list of very common idioms.

I use most of these a lot. A few of them are odd to me, but maybe it's a British English list.

I don't find it awkward if non native speakers do not use https://idioms.fyi/, I don't think I would even notice. I would be really impressed however and would notice if they used a lot of them correctly.
