Grammar

No, He is in the office now / No, I can do it.

I have learned that "No" should be followed by "not" like "No, I am not", "No I can't", etc.

However, I have seen lots of sentences like "No, it's okay", "No, I can do it", "No, He is in the office now".

For example,

A: Is he at home how?
B: No, He is in the office now.

A: You cannot do it, right?
B: No, I can do it.

Do I think that something including 'not' is just omitted like "No, (he is not). He is in the office now" and "No, (it's not). I can do it".

What do you native English speakers think?

Thank you so much as usual in advance!
