Hello friends,

I will like to know which of these sentences is correct, please try to explain the grammar rule used in these sentences.

"No girl like self-demeaning guys."

or

"No girl likes self-demeaning guys."

Please point out any mistake I might have made in this post.

  • so its a singular - 'likes' would be the answer I am a novice, just posted my thought.
  • I hope the experts will correct here.

You can use: ... girl likes ... or ... girls like ...

You cannot use ... girl like ... or ... girls likes ...

I wonder if “self-demeaning” is really the right description for what you mean? This sort of idea is usually expressed with the word confidence:



  • Girls don’t like guys who aren’t confident.



  • No girl likes a guy who isn’t confident.



  • No girl wants a man who lacks self-confidence.
