Are both of the above correct?If yes,what is the difference?
Is there a rule for using the singular or plural after 'no'?

1. There is no answer to that question. -- Sounds like that question is unanswerable (cannot be answered).

2. There are no answers to that question. -- Sounds like no one has answered that question yet.
