Very few people wear nightshirts now.

My textbook says that nightshirts are worn by men or boys, but I googled the pictures. It seems that both men and women wears them. What do you think? Thanks.

I think that women are starting to use 'nightshirt' as well these days (the word anyway) instead of 'nightdress' or 'nightgown'. Actually, in the UK women shorten the name to 'nightie' and I've never met or even heard of a man who wears one. Men wear pajamas. (so do women). A man in a nightshirt seems more like something from a historical novel.
