I entered last year and quarterfinaled, which got me a a few reads and an offer of management. Nothing came of it yet, except insomuch as I have a bunch of new contacts in the industry who will probably get getting the new script this week.

Never did nothin' in no Nicholl contest yet but I did have one script win a very small contest (open only to those living in my state) and place in the quarters or semis of a couple of others. Had one other make it to the 2nd round of A

Best results were producer reads from wins at the Santa Fe Screenwriting fest. No sales. You just can't sell a gay cowboy script unless it was in print first

[nq:1]I got an agent off a 2nd place in the Nevada State Screenplay contest for my first script. it wasn't THAT great a script (how did I know, it was my first), and the agent died. No relationship between those facts, I think.[/nq]
You could still tell producers it was a killer script.
