Nice

Meeting a person for the first time. Should I say:

Very nice to meet you. Or

Very nice meeting you.

I would say, "Nice to meet you". You can add the very if you want. When leaving the gathering where I had met someone, in taking my leave, I would say, "It was (very) nice meeting you".
