dear friends sometimes I see while reading neswpapers and magazines that natinalities we use for the countries ,,,what about the cities...

england----------english
america---------american
newyork-------newyorker
london---------????????
istanbul ------istanbuli

I hope you understand my question, are there any rules about this subject? or can you give me more city examples.......
