Newcastle accent?

A couple of days ago arrived to me a video: Millions By Danny Boyle. A british film pretty well done. I recommend you!!!

The idea is: The film is supposed to be filmed nerby Newcastle, but the accent is remarkable posh, beautiful indeed. I loved it!! but I saw a couple of years ago the film Billy Elliot and the accent is supposed to be from Newcastle as well, and it sounded to me a little unsophisticated!, some remark the "r" in a a german way!! and the intonation at the end of the sentences was really funny! (a sort of Texan way)

The way they say the word "poor" and "obviously" in Millions cought my heart!!! but was this film shot in Newcastle?

What do you think about the Newcastle accent?
