New Year

As the New Year was coming, a natural disaster which was considered as the most serious one in the past 50 years struck most parts of southern China unexpectedly. It was in the middle of January that it came and lasted one month, as a result of which about sixty deaths and eight missing people were caused. Moreover, it also led to damaged houses, traffic problems and lack of electricity supply. Even though it caused an economic loss of about 50 billion yuan, there was still something delighting us that different aids carried on efficiently. In the meanwhile, people all over the country donated money as much as possible in order to help out the victims in this smokeless war.
