New year

Hello,
I have a question...Do we say :
  1. New Year 2012 or
  2. the New Year
  3. the New Year 2012
  4. I hope the New Year 2012 will bring you a lot of happiness...
  5. May the New Year provide you with joy and happiness...
  6. the/- last year was successful...
  7. the/- last year 2011 was successful

Is the 5th sentence ok or we should say 'provides' (I think 'provide' is ok as it's an example of 'subjunctive', am I right?)

I would be grateful for your help!
Thank you in advance!
