New to vs. new in

Hi,

A. I'm new to this forum.
B. I'm new in this forum.

1. Which of the above is correct?
2. If both are possible, how is 'to' different in meaning from 'in' in the sentence?

I would really appreciate your input on this.

Incorrigibly Curious I'm new to this forum. This is the only one I would use. The other one strikes me as unnatural.
