New things about yourself?

I am now trying to rephrase the following sentence so that my students can write it.

People around you help you discover aspects of yourself you are unaware of.

Is it possible to rephrase this into a simpler expression? For example, "other people help you discover new things about yourself."

Thank you very much for mentioning the capitalization :-) Also, in the original sentence, I was told 'the' is unnecessary before 'aspects,' but it's difficult for me to explain why "the" is unnecessary though I myself get the picture thanks to you guys , so to make things easier, is it ok to use "some" as in "some aspects?"

It's OK. "aspects" and "some aspects" is basically the same in that sentence.
