we are a new non-profit fundation, should we put our nunber on letter asking for dontions or just put hat we are non-profit???????

I don't know what "your number" means. Regardless, you should probably do whatever is standard practice for letters of solicitation for non-profit organizations. Check with others who have had the same problem.
