New, green, big, round, wooden table

Hi,

I never really thought about this complicated place-of-modifiers thing until I was asked. What is the proper order to arrange information about size, color, shape, and other stuff? Thank you!

Just a warning, Ahava-- different sources list different adjective orders-- much is idiomatic, while other adjectives are more strictly placed ('wooden' is always last in your example).

'Big new round green wooden table'' is nice; so is 'new big round green wooden table'.

It takes a certain 'feel' to get them in the most natural-sounding order. Thankfully, it is not a problem
