New entrant - Need inputs on the preparation

Hi all, I am a new subscriber in this group. I am a graduate and my medium of instruction was English. To brighten up my career, I am planning to take CPE exam this year end. I would like to have your great inputs on the best preparation method a new candidate should follow.  Please recommend the structured way of preparation a new entrant can start to tackle the exam. Also, I did a search on the preparatory materials for the exam in web and found Cambridge's CPE (books 1 -5). I dont know if they are the suitable books to start with. Do you have any books in mind that a new starter could take advantage of?
