Hello!
I have 2 questions again. I thank you sincerely and always for your help.

Marijuana is the illegal drug most often used in this country. Our research shows that accompanying this upward pattern of marijuana use is a significant erosion in antidrug perceptions and knowledge among young people today. Because many parents of this generation of teenagers experimented with marijuana when they were in college, they often find it difficult to talk about marijuana use with their children and to set strict ground rules against drug use. It is best to talk about drugs when children are young. It is never too late to talk about the dangers of drug use. Talking to our children about drug abuse is not always easy, but it is very important.

q1) never too late to talk ----- Considering the context, I think, it should be changed to 'never too early to talk'. Isn't it?
q2) Our research shows that accompanying this upward pattern of marijuana use is a significant erosion in antidrug perceptions and knowledge among yound people today. --------when I read this sentence, I thoght it too long and not clear. Isn't it? I am wondering if anybody can change the sentence more clearly but not changing the meaning.
