Never been

We're visiting the city park and my friend has never been there before prior to this trip. I say when we're in the city park:

So, you've never been here before? Or

So, you had never been here before?

Are both okay or is one better than the other?

Thanks!

Just because no one replied doesn’t mean it went unnoticed. In any case, there is no justification for posting the same thread twice. It’s against the rules, and you’ve been asked countless times not to do it.

Yeh, I understand and I've been trying my best to follow the forum rules. I'm not here to cause trouble or harm against anyone and the sole reason for my posting here is because I want to learn and improve my English, so instead of just bossing me around and nitpicking my posting habits, why don't you help me as well as do those things? What do you think? Do we have a deal?
